Graduation Requirements

The minimum requirement for graduation (Grades 9-12) shall be the satisfactory completion of the course of study, which is approved by the Board of Directors of Lutheran High School.

To graduate from Lutheran High School, students must earn 27 credits during their four years, including successful completion of religion for each semester in attendance. A credit is equivalent to a full year course. Following are the minimum credits to be earned in each department:

English 4.0 credits     Health 0.5 credit
Social Studies 3.5 credits     Science 3.0 credits
Physical Education 1.0 credit     Computer 1.0 credit
Mathematics 3.0 credits     Electives 6.0 credits
Fine Arts/Music 1.0 credits     Religion 4.0 credits




LHS also offers a college preparatory track. Upon successful completion of this program, students will receive additional recognition at commencement. Following are the requirements for completing this program:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
  • Earn 12 semester credits at the 300 or 400 level in Math, Science, World Languages, English, and Social Studies.
  • Maintain a "B-" or better average in the qualifying courses of your choice.
