Rationale

Music is a gift of God.  It is a special blessing because He asks His creatures to use that gift to praise His Holy Name (Psalm 95; 96; 98; 150) The study of music allows us to develop aesthetic sensitivity, self-expression and creativity.  In music, people find the freedom and means to express their most personal thoughts and emotions.  This expression is vital to our emotional growth and well-being and contributes to our spiritual well-being.
